I have sensitive red-head skin & this autumn I have been vexed by an ugly, painful & persistent rash at my waist. It would almost go away & then return nastier than ever. I went to a specialist last week & was diagnosed as being allergic to nickel. The dermatologist explained that the metal in belt buckles & on the buttons on my jeans was the cause. I have yet to find a suitable stainless steel buckled belt or an alternative. The Husband suggested a piece of rope, but I have never been big on the Jethro Bodine look. I have taken notice that no one in my life seems to bat an eye when I announce- “I can’t seem to keep my pants on”. Why would that be? The rash is gone now.
the rash..bad....the story...funny. ;)
ReplyDeleteYes, rash bad, story funny. Maybe you should join a nudist colony - that would solve all your problems. :D
ReplyDeleteUse suspenders! Or, as they used to be called, braces. As long as the clips don't have nickel in them, they should work great.
ReplyDeleteThis was an amusing tale that would have been misinterpreted in GB. You see, over 'pants' are 'underwear'. Now, get some braces on, mate :-)!
ReplyDeleteGreetings from London.
I think the only sensible solution is 24 carat gold....everything.
ReplyDeletePerhaps you can find a 'specialty' belt with a buckle made of mother of pearl or whalebone or something like that. Glad the rash has cleared up.
ReplyDeleteA piece of rope made me laugh out loud.
